After VinFast VF 3 was introduced, the Vietnamese electric car market is about to welcome many new models from brands such as MG, BYD, Wuling, Baojun and Aion in the near future.

BYD is currently the leading electric car manufacturer in China and also leads in global sales.
Among them, BYD Atto 3 is a small high-clearance car model with a size between VinFast VF 6 and VF 7. Currently, Atto 3 is the best-selling electric car model in Thailand.
This car model is equipped with an electric motor with 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque.
BYD Seal belongs to the D-class sedan segment with a fastback design, the roof of the car smoothly sloping down to the trunk.
BYD Dolphin is a 5-door B-class hatchback, competing with gasoline cars such as the Suzuki Swift or Toyota Yaris.
BYD Han is an E-class large sedan, available in both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and pure electric versions.
The D-class SUV BYD Tang also has both hybrid and pure electric variants.
The BYD Song is similar in size to the Tang but with a softer design.
The pure electric hatchback model MG4 EV has appeared on the streets of Vietnam, and it is expected that it will soon be introduced in this market.
MG4 EV belongs to class C segment and can accommodate 5 people, with a compact design suitable for crowded urban areas.
The vehicle is equipped with the thinnest battery pack that SAIC Motor has ever produced, with a capacity of 51 kWh, allowing the vehicle to travel up to 350 km per charge. In addition, the vehicle also has the ability to quickly charge from 10% to 80%.
The more advanced version of the MG4 EV is equipped with a larger 64 kWh battery pack and a 201 horsepower electric motor, allowing the car to travel up to 450 km after each full charge.
Recently, on Wuling’s official website in Vietnam, an article was posted confirming that the Wuling Bingo EV 2024 electric car model will soon be launched.
Wuling Bingo EV has dimensions of 3,950 x 1,708 x 1,580 mm with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, larger than the Hongguang MiniEV and on par with A-class cars.
This model will have two electric motor options, one with 41 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque, and a more powerful version with 68 horsepower and 150 Nm.
Wuling Bingo is also equipped with two types of LFP batteries of 17.3 kWh and 31.9 kWh, supporting fast charging, allowing maximum travel of 203 km and 333 km respectively.
Meanwhile, another car model of the SGMW joint venture, Baojun Yep, was also revealed to be brought to Vietnam.
This model uses an electric motor with 67 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque.
China’s GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group) may soon enter the Vietnamese market, according to information from Traffic Newspaper.
The length, width and height of Aion Y Plus are 4,535 mm, 1,870 mm and 1,650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, which is larger than VinFast VF 6.
In the Chinese market, the Aion Y Plus is offered in four different versions, using batteries ranging from 37.9 kWh to 69.9 kWh, for a range of 310 km to 610 km.
The two standard versions of the car have an electric motor with a capacity of 134 horsepower and 176 Nm of torque, while the two more advanced versions have 201 horsepower and 225 Nm.
