(Dan Tri) – Ukraine has planned a military campaign in the winter to repel Russia’s advance.

`Our main task is to ensure that everything that happens today benefits the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, conversely, causes difficulties for the Russian forces,` said a spokesman for the Army Command.

Mr. Fitio said Kiev is doing everything to make the Russian military feel most insecure on Ukrainian territory.

According to the spokesman, special efforts are being made to disrupt logistics routes, preventing Russian forces from transporting weapons, food and other goods necessary for the military campaign in Ukraine.

He also confirmed that operations to eliminate Russian artillery, infantry and bunkers will continue.

`Therefore, the opponent will have to face surprises falling from the sky,` Mr. Fitio warned.

Previously, Mr. Fitio also commented that `weather will play a role in military operations` of Ukraine.

`If it starts to rain, planes and attack drones (UAVs) will be deployed less frequently. Military vehicles and equipment will also be more difficult to move. However, artillery will still be used a lot.

`Ukraine’s main task will be to cut off the supply chain of Russian forces, both on the front and behind the front lines. If we can do that, I think the rainy and cold weather will help us

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also warned on November 12 that the people of this country should prepare for a new wave of Russian air strikes on Kiev’s infrastructure as winter approaches.

Last winter, Russia launched waves of attacks on power plants and facilities related to Ukraine’s energy grid, causing widespread power outages.

Ukrainian officials say Russia has attacked Ukrainian infrastructure at least 60 times in recent weeks, a sign that an offensive campaign may be underway.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army on November 19 also announced that it had pushed back Russian forces `3-8 km` from the banks of the Dnieper River.

Ukrainian and Russian forces have been entrenched on opposite sides of the wide Dineper River in the southern Kherson region for more than a year, after Russia withdrew its troops from the west bank last November.

Ukrainian forces have made several attempts to cross the river and regain positions on the Russian-controlled side.

`The enemy continues to fire artillery on the right bank (of the river).`
